9/25/2023 0 Comments Go shuttle fort lauderdale airportI finally went to the cab stand who told me where the Go Airport Shuttle desk was located (very little signage at this airport as to who picks up where!). The operator was VERY nice but didn't sound as if she knew her way around the airport - she told me that someone would either "call me" or "pick me up." After waiting in the sweltering heat for over 15 minutes, I called her back - she then said, "There should be a courtesy stand in the area (note that the "area" is probably a good 3-4 city blocks). Thought I would be sharing a van with a friend who arrived 45 minutes ahead of me - but didn't happen.Ĭalled several agencies and finally got Go Airport Shuttle. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport without a pre-reserved shuttle (my first mistake!). But if someone were to ask my advice, it would be simple: If you feel the urge to ride anywhere with Go Airport Shuttle, suppress it.Īrrived at Ft. But hey.maybe you will get lucky and not experience the same gut-wrenching ride we did. We wound up being the last ones off, over 2 hours after embarking on this shuttle ride from Hades. After kicking them out of the van, then arguing curbside with them for 15 minutes, he let them back in and took them to their hotel. ![]() They were going to an airport hotel, not the airport, but the driver didn't seem to understand that. Then, he went to the Miami airport and tried to make three young passengers get out of his van. Our driver bypassed the Miami airport, and drove a few of the passengers to hotels in downtown Miami. Then, our driver had to stop at several other curbside locations in order to fill up his van. Lauderdale within 30 minutes of our arrival at their curbside kiosk. The printed confirmation form we had "guaranteed" a pickup in Ft. Sounds easy enough, right? That's what we thought. Lauderdale to a hotel at the Miami Airport. My wife and I had pre-booked (and prepaid) for a Go Airport Shuttle to take us from the airport in Ft. Only reason I gave it two stars is that we did, finally, get to our destination and in one piece! This was a terrible experience and I would not recommend this service. I can't speak for other Go Airport Shuttles at other locations or other drivers but this one certainly soured my overall impression as it should never have taken us that long to get to our hotel unless there were unforeseen, extenuating circumstances of which there none of the above. We should have been at our hotel between 2-2:30 but didn't get there until 4:15! We did give him a tip although I don't feel he deserved it and I will most likely never use this service again. ![]() Needless to say, we were tired and cranky that a 40 minute ride turned into well over 2 hours. I would blame it on heavy traffic but the traffic was pretty normal with no major backups at all. ![]() We went all the way to South Beach to drop off the second person (after my husband and myself) and then around some more to drop off the third person he had picked up before FINALLY taking us back toward Miami Airport and our hotel. That I could understand but once that was accomplished, he basically took us for a "tour" of Miami. ![]() The driver wasn't happy that he had to take us to Miami, then he drove around the airport three times looking to pick up more passengers. Turned out it took us nearly 2 1/2 hours to get to our hotel near the airport in Miami. The drive from FLL airport to Miami is estimated to be 35-40 minutes. I'm sure it is and the price was right so I booked the shuttle from Fort Lauderdale Airport to our hotel in Miami one day before leaving on a cruise. I was told by my travel agent that this company is at most airports and is reputable.
